The humid Ohio air hangs heavy as Maggie, barely sixteen and new to town, pleads with a stranger outside the liquor store. “Please, just this once,” she begs Sue Ann, a middle-aged veterinary assistant with kind eyes and a hesitant smile. Sue Ann agrees, seeing an opportunity for connection. Soon, Sue Ann’s secluded house transforms into the go-to party spot for Maggie and her friends, including the charming Andy and the cautious Haley. “Ma’s house,” they call it, reveling in a haven free from parents and rules. But as the parties escalate, so does Sue Ann’s possessiveness. Erica, Maggie’s concerned mother, senses something is deeply wrong, a sinister undercurrent beneath the veneer of generosity. The teenagers, blinded by cheap thrills and Sue Ann’s seemingly harmless quirks, fail to notice the web of obsession tightening around them, a web spun from Sue Ann’s dark past and fueled by a desperate need for acceptance. The laughter fades, replaced by a chilling realization: Ma’s house is not a sanctuary, but a meticulously crafted trap.

Ma Movie Storyline

In the seemingly ordinary town of Ohio, Maggie, a teenager adjusting to a new life with her mother Erica, seeks to make friends. She encounters Sue Ann, a reclusive veterinary assistant, who readily offers to buy alcohol for Maggie and her newfound companions Haley, Andy and Darrell. Sue Ann, starved for connection, provides them with a safe haven in her basement, a place they affectionately dub “Ma’s” place. As the teenagers revel in their newfound freedom, they are oblivious to Sue Ann’s growing obsession and the dark secrets simmering beneath her amiable facade. Boundaries blur as Sue Ann demands constant attention and invades their personal lives, leading to escalating tension and unease. When Haley discovers Sue Ann’s disturbing scrapbook filled with pictures of them, the group tries to distance themselves, triggering Sue Ann’s vengeful nature, revealing a past trauma linked to Maggie’s father, Ben Hawkins, who was once part of the group that cruelly humiliated Sue Ann in high school. Fueled by years of suppressed anger, Sue Ann traps the teenagers in her home, subjecting them to horrifying games and psychological torture, forcing them to confront the sins of their parents’ past. Maggie, resourceful and determined, rallies her friends to fight back, leading to a violent confrontation where the depths of Sue Ann’s madness are exposed, culminating in a fiery climax that leaves a trail of destruction and reveals the devastating consequences of unchecked obsession and long-held grudges.
